Abstract The Angela Stott Brennan Papers document her life, her husbands and children, and the Midway Service station of Adrian, N.D. which she and her husband operated. The correspondence includes letters from servicemen including James Murray in Vietnam (1969-1970). The majority of the collection consists of school, military service and other personal documents of family members from the 1950s into the 1970s.

Scope and Contents The Edith Fowler Slocum Photograph Collection consists of images from the time period of 1880 to about 1915. Many of the images are portraits of Edith from a child to an adult. There are also group photographs, some taken when Edith was in Seaforth, Ontario and others taken while she was a student at the North Dakota Agricultural College. Scope and Contents The Fargo Public Library Photograph Collection was semi-organized into folders when deposited at the Institute for Regional Studies. That basic arrangement was retained and refined. The collection is organized alphabetically by topic or, in several cases, geographic. Abstract The Oscar Forness Photograph Collection originally consisted of eight albums that contained detailed images of Fargo-Moorhead through the medium of photography. The albums were purchased by the donor at a Fargo antique store and then presented to the Institute. The photographer attempted to capture as many storefronts and streets as appeared during the 1960s and early 1970s.
